Richardson recognizes only Ralph and William as the sons of Agatha Eltonhead and Ralph Wormeley.[1] Other researchers have claimed the existence of a third son named Christopher,[2][3] but there are several difficulties with this : 1) Christopher's birth date is given as the same year as his brother Ralph's (although this is not an insurmountable problem as neither births are supported by primary evidence); and 2) on 20 November 1652, Agatha made a deed of settlement with her husband, Sir Henry Chicheley, for the benefit of her two sons, Ralph and William Wormeley, appointing as trustees to oversee the settlement Capt. William Brocas, Mr. William Eltonhead, and Mr. Rowland Burnham.[4] The deed essentially transferred Wormeley's entire estate, which Agatha had inherited upon her husband's death, to be held in trust for her two sons until they reached maturity. In September 1654 this deed was renewed in Ralph's name alone, his younger brother William having died before then.[4] At no point in this transaction is there any mention of a third son named Christopher. There has been speculation that Agatha's husband Ralph had an uncle named Christopher, and that the Christopher named in this profile might be that uncle's illegitimate son. This is, however, completely speculative and not supported by documentation. Christopher's parentage needs further research. Stevens-17832 12:56, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Christopher by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Christopher:
