Hon. John Wormeley, the son of Ralph Wormeley and Elizabeth Armistead, was born about 1689, Middlesex, Virginia, he died 7 February 1726, Rosegill, Middlesex, Virginia, burial 11 February 1726.[1]
He was married in 1712/1713, to Elizabeth Ring (Note: Tayloe and Ring have both been given as her maiden name; estate records show he married Elizabeth Ring the daughter of Joseph Ring and Sarah Berkley.)[2][3]
In 1769, "Elizabeth Wormley, late of Middlesex, widow, was in her lifetime, seized in fee simple of and in a tract or parcell of land, with the appurtenances situate in the parish of York Hampton, and county of York, containing six hundred and thirty acres" and she died "being so seized". This property was the old Ringfield home area. Elizabeth was the heir after her siblings had no heirs.[4][2]
Elizabeth in her will written 3 April 1743, willed the land mentioned above (old Ring homestead) to her son John, if he had no surviving heirs it would go to son Ralph.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
