A am Anne Dune Jelson. I hope you will be able to see my previous post. I am 18 degrees from Ralph Wormeley. My Congdon Family lived near them but in looking at the lineage it does not mention Congdon. The line is through my Lansinger family. Who lived in Maryland. Another name is Elder they were also from Maryland. This is shocking to me! My tree is at Ancestry.com. My account here is Congdon- 1010. My tree at Ancestry is called the Congdon family Tree. It is an open tree so look for John Congdon born 1600-1646. You will see the lineage.

Thanks, Anne Jelson

Hello,

My maiden name is Peggie Dune Congdon. There is an old family story regarding Ralph Wormeley. Stating that he was a Ship's Captain who brought imigrants to VIrginia. He brought a man named John Congdon born 1600-1646. The story states that he came one time to claim land, I assume somewhere near the Wormeley's. John returned Pembrokeshire, Wales. He brought his wife named Mary and his three sons. He and Mary died in 1646 in Virginia. We are assuming either killed by Indians or died from Malaria. The story says that the 3 sons were sent to live with Ralph Wormeley. Some say there was also a daughter named Mary. I don't know what happened to Mary. So I am searching whether I am a DNA match to the Wormeleys because of a rumor that Mary Married Captain Ralph. So I entered Congdon-1010 and entered Wormeley. And I was an 18 th degree match to Ralph and his documented wife. I don't know if this Mary had a relationship with him? There are no children from this relationship. But at this time a lot of Congdon researchers are denying that John was part of the Congdon family. If this match is accurate it would be a major discovery to our family. I don't mean to make any trouble for you family but I just can't believe this. No need to recognize this. Many of are ancestors were mistresses in Royal Families. I would just like to confirm or deny this. My main tree on Ancestry.com is The Congdon Family Tree. It is an open tree and you will be able to see all the documentation on John Congdon. I have done not research on Mary, but this is startling of true. Thanks, Anne Jelson aka Dune Anne Congdon. I don't use WIki Tree because someone went into may Congdon-1010 and entered inaccurate information.

This profile is a bit confusing. He is named as Ralph III, but he is the son of the third Ralph in a row. I wonder whether he should be named Ralph IV?
