Miriam ("Mereim") Worthen, the first of the name, was born on 02 October 1731 in Amesbury, Essex, (then) Province of Massachusetts Bay, the daughter of George and Miriam (Barnard) Worthen.[1] She probably died by 1736 when a later sibling was given the same name, though no death is recorded in the Amesbury Vital Records.
