Crittendon married Elizabeth Frances Hoard (born on April 17, 1816 in Jefferson, Kentucky; daughter of Willis Hord and Mary (Cain) Hord). Their son was John Wright (1852–1923).
In 1870, Crittendon was living in Benson, Franklin, Kentucky. [1]
Crittendon died on April 3, 1909, aged 88.
