DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Elizabeth (Wright) Payne may be connected to the wrong family. While I don't have the proper sources yet, I believe this Elizabeth's parents were John Wright (1754-1824) and (Nancy?) Ann McCormick (1760-1841), married December 13, 1780 in Berkeley County, Virginia. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FBT5-NLV

This John Wright (Wright-11814) had a daughter Elizabeth, but died (about 1762) before Elizabeth (Wright) Payne (Wright-14436) was born.

The existing connection between these two profiles is being flagged as an error in the database. I suggest removing Wright-14436 until her correct relationships can be resolved.

Wright-11816 and Wright-11814 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse; birth day is the same, different year; other dates are close and need to be sourced.
