"Thomas Wright came to Guilford about 1670. He was the shepherd to the town. He was not the Thomas Wright who married Elizabeth, daughter of Lieut. Thomas Chittenden. His "terrier" showed that his homelot contained two acres." [1]
He marred Sarah Benton in 1673. [2] She died 25 Dec 1692. [1]
The inventory of Thomas Wright of Guilford deced intestate was taken on 6 December 1692 and recorded at New Haven.[4] Children listed at the end of the inventory are Mary 19 yr old, Daniel 6, Mercy 12 Mehitable 8 Abel 4.[4]
Thomas was buried in Washington Street Cemetery, Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut. [5]

Downey-1809: On FindAGrave his parents were Benjamin Wright and Elizabeth Crittenden. [5] If FindAGrave is correct and his father is Benjamin Wright then why does his name have III suffix? Maybe some day we will learn who his father is....
