Fulton Watkins Wright ’29 Published in Mar. 9, 1994, issue of Princeton Alumni Weekly
FULION DIED in Santa Barbara Nov. 17, 1993. He was born in Little Rock, and prepared for college at Woodberry Forest. At Princeton, he was manager of the crew, on the undergraduate athletic committee, and was in Tiger Inn. He roomed with Bill Mitchell. He began his business career with the Mercantile Commerce Bank of St. Louis and the Union Trust Co. of Little Rock. In 1937, he joined the Matson Navigation Co, in San Francisco, and went to the L.A. office in 1953, living in San Marino. During the war, Fult was a captain in the air force, serving in Europe. His clubs included the Bohemian in San Francisco and the Valley Hunt in Pasadena. He was also a member of the Propeller Club and president of the club in Southern California. His Matson office became part of Alexander & Baldwin, a Hawaiian company. He was a member of the board of the L.A. Chamber of Commerce and was active in L.A.'s civic affairs. In 1934, he married Margaret Baker and she survives, as do their four children: Fulton W Jr., Elizabeth Wright Pomeroy, Marcella Wright Ludwig, and David D.
