Research Notes

• After Louvisa passed away, John married a second time on 15 Jun 1888 to Cornelia Johnson.^[1][2]
  • There is a discrepancy with the 1900 Census and the information given by Lovell in Owen County Cousins about John's first and second marriages. Lovell says that Cornelia and John were married on 15 Jun 1888^[1], and this is corroborated by their marriage record.^[2] Oddly, on the 1900 Census both John and Cornelia indicate a marriage year of 1862^[3], which is the year that John and Louvisa were married.^[4] -- Fiscus-32 19:47, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

• In 1880, there is a Rachel Wright living in John's household. The image shows that she is listed as "Mother Law" [sic], and the column showing occupation says, "Living with son."^[5] So, it's likely that this is John's mother rather than his mother-in-law.
