Daniel was born on 13 July 1868 in Addington, Christchurch, New Zealand[1] to John Wright and Agnes MacFarlane.
He married Isabella Crab Greig in New Zealand in 1905[2].
He died on 29 June 1917 in Gisborne, New Zealand[3].
He was buried in Taruheru Cemetery[4] with his wife Isabella.
