Biography

Hepzibah was born in 1793 in Deerfield in Franklin, Massachusetts, the daughter of Carmi Wright and Eunice Cooley. When she was eleven years old, her family moved to settle and farm in the Adams area in Jefferson County, New York. In 1831 at the age of 38, she married the recently widowed Sylvester Bliss. She reportedly died in 1858.
