Biography

John was born in 1871. He was the son of James Wright and Martha Mayfield. He passed away in 1947. Son of James Washburn Wright and Martha Jane Mayfield; married Mary Jane Moats 23 February 1890 in Fayette County, Illinois.

Obituary

John Henry Wright with wife, Mary Jane and daughter Bertha and son-in-law Ona Glen Landers were killed in a car train accident on May 18, 1947 in Hagerstown, Illinois. They had been visiting Oral Wright who lived near by. their view of the tracks was abscurred by a line of empty box cars parked on a rail siding. All four occupants were killed instantly. This information came from Roy Neathery who attended the funeral.
