Biography

Michelle Dawn Wright was born March 22, 1975[1], at a Kaiser Permanente hospital in San Diego County, California. She graduated with a B. S. degree in chemical engineering in May of 1997, from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. When she returned to southern California, she worked as a software engineer, database administrator, and electroplating technician/engineer, and she also dabbled as an electrician's apprentice for a short time. Between 2007 and 2010 she spent time living in Latin American countries like Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Panamá, and Costa Rica.[2]

In May of 2010, she moved to Brownsville, Texas, where she studied and became a certified and licensed physician assistant by 2015. In February of 2015, she was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer, and she began chemotherapy with FOLFOX (5-fluorouracil, oxaliplatin, and leucovorin) in March 2015, which she continued until the end of August 2015, when she discontinued FOLFOX because of neurological and psychological symptoms, including weakness and insomnia. The symptoms continued to worsen after discontinuing chemotherapy to include knee-buckling and inability to open the eyelids.[2]

In October 2015, her parents moved her back to San Diego County, California, because of her mystery neurological condition that left her unable to sit up and walk. In California, her neurological condition continued and developed new symptoms such as vocal tics, echolalia, stuttering, palilalia, and involuntary muscle contractions of the skeletal muscles, throughout the body and face. Her neurological condition was diagnosed as "functional neurological disorder." In September of 2016, colon cancer was found in at least one of her lungs.[2]

During her life, Michelle worked in the Chicago area, Seattle area, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles County, and Orange County. She traveled to Europe and Asia. She worked as an associate engineer in an electroplating operation, as a database manager, as a software programmer, and as a tutor for anatomy and physiology.[2]

Michelle passed away on March 15, 2019 and is under the care of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary and Crematory, Oceanside, San Diego County, California.[3]

Hi Michelle,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello Michelle, Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Marshall
