Obituary

From a newspaper, presumably in Lloydminster: Funeral service was held in Grace United Church on Thursday, June 11th, [1936] for the late Mr. Harold Mansfield Wright, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Wright of Burmis, Alberta. Mr. Wright had been a patient in the Lloydminster hospital for about a month, and death came unexpectedly from a heart attack on Monday, June 8th. The deceased had been in delicate health from the age of five, when he suffered from an attack of scarlet fever, to the time of his death at 20 years. He had resided in the Kinnaird and Streamstown districts, with a short residence in Burmis. For reasons of health he returned to the Kinnaird district, living at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wright. He had borne his sickness with great patience, and by his kindly disposition and sterling character made a wide circle of friends, a large number of whom attended to pay their last respects to one who will be sadly missed............immediate relatives: Father and mother, of Burmis, Alberta; brothers George, Calvin and Kenneth, and sisters Alice and Hazel, all residing at Burmis; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph wright, of Field, B. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Sowerby [later, Byron and Tracy Sheridan] (sister); of Vancouver, B. C.; and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wright of Kinnaird, Alberta. Family story: Harold and someone else were driving to Field and when they came to a railroad crossing the car tipped over. the metal of the car made contact with the rails, setting off the crossing bell. He thought it was an approaching train and the thought sent him into shock because of his heart condition and that started his decline to death.
