Militia of the same county (information as to which county is missing).
Marched down to little York, (to) the Siege of Cornwallis, and was put under the command of Capt. Reed in the brigade commanded by General Stevens. (He was) chosen to guard the British prisoners to Winchester’s Brigade, but having been taken sick at Falmouth, he was discharged, having served about two months. He received a written discharge from Maj. Murray being the officer in command, which he (meaning William Wright Sr) has lost (the discharge).[10][11]

Hi Lynden,

You may not know but my immediate Stone family is from Clark County, Kentucky and I lived there for almost 25 years. Here is a very good source for information on William Wright along with his petition for pension for the Revolutionary War. Occupation; William was a Methodist Minister, and farmer The Joseph Wright Family Submitted by Jim G. Faulconer

I am headed to Clark County, Kentucky to The Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival Labor Day Weekend. Lots of family still live there.
