Dear Margaret, My records list Mary (Wright ) Shelton as a daughter of 1767 (year of death) Francis Wright of Amherst County, Virginia, (place of death) and Mary (Hawkins) Wright. Mary (Wright) Shelt on was born about 1728, married Richard Shelton August 20, 1746, died after December 9, 1766, and was buried at the family homestead near Lynchburg, Virginia. Richard Shelton was born on August 14, 1728, resided at St. Mary's Parish, King William County, Virginia, before marriage, resided in 1746 in Louisa County, Virginia, on June 3, 1765, in Amherst County, Virginia, and died January 5, 1821, at Amherst County, Virginia. 1767 Francis Wright of Amherst County re sided in King William County, Virginia, then on February 13, 1748, at Albemarle County, Virginia, and then on May 8, 1750, at Louisa County, Virginia, and died between December 9, 1766, and September 7, 1767, at Amherst County, Virginia. The children of Mary (Wright) Shelton and Richard Shelton included the following:
