Jemima Wright was born in 1752 in Maryland. She married John Harlan. She died in 1832 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.[1]
Jemima was the daughter of Elijah Wright, a farmer and mechanic who was born in Ireland in 1725, and his wife Lucinda Messer who was also from Ireland. She married John Harlan about 1770 in Frederick, Maryland. About 1782 John and Jemima moved to Lincoln County, Kentucky. They were there until 1818, when they moved to Barren, near Tompkinsville. Jemima died there in 1832. They had 10 children: Aaron, Jacob, John, William, George Barton, Thomas, Nancy, Joel Wright, Elijah Wright, and Hannah.[2]
