Biography

William A. Wyatt, son of Andrew and Elizabeth Wyatt was born in Richland county near Seminary March 1, 1879 and departed this life Dec. 19, 1956 at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 18 days.

He was united in marriage to Lora E. Bunting Nov. 21, 1900. To this union three children were born.

He confessed his faith and was baptized into Christ July 13, 1912 and united with the Marion Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, four brothers, Walter, Wilbur, Robert and Harvey and one grandson James Andrew Wyatt, one half brother, A. K. Wyatt, also a son-in-law, Ernest C. Porter.

He leaves to mourn his departure his devoted wife, three children, Everett A. Wyatt of Olney, Illinois, Mary A. Porter of Evansville, Indiana and Thelma I. Bowen of Olney, Illinois, Route 1. A son-in-law Ralph Bowen, a daughter-in-law Lora A. Wyatt, seven grandchildren, William E., Everett, Eugene, Bernard Wyatt, Shirley Ann Hanna, Mary Ann Langston, Patsy and Nancy Jean Bowen, four great grandchildren, one brother, Arthur Leo Wyatt of Olney, also one step-granddaughter Alice Lee Porter Beddow of Brazil, Indiana, four step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Wyatt had always been such devoted and loving husband and father, putting all others first, even though he has been failing in health for several months and required constant care, he still kept a smiling face and sunny disposition and always said "I'll do whatever you think best."
