  • "Therefore, it is highly improbable that Rebecca Eivens married William Wyatt. ... John Wyatt received a land patent on 1 Apr 1694 for 288 acres on Yawpim Creek in Perquimans Precinct joining John Barrows, John Cheston's Creek" Book - snippet only
  • The Wyatt, Calloway, Laurence families (and others) went from Virginia to Albemarle County, North Carolina. In 1666 an Assembly met to petition 'their lordships' to grant them the same rights with their lands as the Virginians enjoyed. Eager to gain new inhabitants they agreed. (Their land was exempt from forfeiture, and did not hold to the law that for every fifty acres that they didn't culitivate within three years, they had to give at least three acres up). There was an entry where Francis Tomes, Christopher Nicholson and William Wyatt on 31 July said their grants couldn't be cancelled 'so far as any authority, by the lords constituted, is consonant to God's glory and the advancement of his blessed truth' (insinuating the devil may be at play. In truth, they had never planned on conceding to the original restrictions.[2]
  • Minnie (Speer) Boone does not make any connection to the Wyatts of Kent though she appeared to want to.
  • Are there two William Wyatts, one married to Rebecca Kent and another married to Rebekah Eivens? It seems more likely that Rebecca Kent is really Rebekah Eivens.

From Eric on the Ann Jones profile:

The William and Mary article says Ann Jones married John Wyatt. John Wyatt's brother William married Rachel Smith. Both these Wyatt brothers were sons of William Wyatt.
