Joanna (Carter) Langdon
Our mother was always caring for someone. From her stories, I believe she helped to raise her brothers and sisters while she was still at her parents home - many came to stay at her marital home. She nursed Uncle Elmer at his home in Wiarton until his death: she nurse her husband and both her parents at her home in Arthur. She also talked of a baby brother who died in her arms, She was very caring and very giving lady and enjoyed playing euchre and her friends in her later years.

The ambulance took Grandma to the groves Memmorial Hospital in the morning of Feb. 14, 1975. Shortly after her arrival her doctor came to her bedside to talk with her. Within a few minutes, Grandma's head fell sideways and she had passed away peacefully.
