Research Notes
Marriage
Bergen's Early Settlers of Kings County and genealogies that rely on Bergen as a source have him married to Femmetje Auckes [van Nuys] as a first wife,[12] but this is wrong. Femmetje Auckes [van Nuys] was not married to Marten Pietersz [Wyckoff]. Bergen lists this supposed marriage only under his account of the Wyckoffs, while under that of van Nuys "he correctly states [13] that Femmetje married Jan Stevense [van Voorhees]". In the record of this marriage, which occurred in 1680 [14], she is called "j.d.," so she could not have been previously married. In the record of Marten's real marriage in 1683 to Hannah Willems he is similarly called "j.m." [15][16]

The duplicate Marten Claes Wyckoff (Wyckoff-461) was first connected and than disconnected from his parents , according the info in the Bio, he was the son of Pieter Claes Wyckoff and Grietje van Ness and a duplicate though, so connected him back to his parents and merged him with the PPP and obvious duplicate now.
Also noticed some mentioning in his Bio of the disproven parents of Pieter Claesz, Please note that we have been correcting things for the family now, so the supposed but now disproven and impossible (grand) parents of Pieter Claesz (Wyckoff) were removed, see here for the supposed grandparents :
Johanna Van Der Goes passed away in 1596 and supposed father Cornelis Petersson passed away in 1599, so these can't and were for sure not the parents of the previously added as father for Pieter Claesz ( Wyckoff) Claes Corneliss (van Schouwen) .
Wyckoff-728 and Wyckoff-22 appear to represent the same person because:
Hi ,
These are the same , this seems to be a duplicate of the other one that has to be merged and had the wrong patronymic, same dates .
So these can be merged as well . Thanks !
Wyckoff-731 and Wyckoff-22 appear to represent the same person because:
Hi,
Checked if this really was a son, because the patronymic was wrong , corrected this. Added info + source (find a grave , probably where the wrong patronymic was coming from) , now they can be merged
Thanks :)
His patronymic is Pieters or Pieterse, because he is a son of Pieter Claesz Wyckoff according most sources , the patronymic is the first name of father + szszensen or se, s see Dutch naming convention for all info about patronymics
Wyckoff-226 and Wyckoff-22 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
Wyckoff-98 and Wyckoff-22 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
