Earl, as you might have noticed, Wikitree has some restrictions on who can add or edit pre-1500 profiles. These have been brought in for some very good reasons, so can you please not create pre-1500 profiles by using dates such as 1500 or before 1500. If you want to apply to work on pre-1500 profiles then instructions can be found here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pre-1500_Profiles Thank you,

Hi Earl,

Thank you for helping grow our family tree.

It looks like you may have created a duplicate today when you created Sarah Howe, who looks to be a duplicate of Howe-5391. Would you please look very carefully before creating profiles to ensure they aren't duplicates? Here is some info about duplicates on WikiTree: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Duplicates

Thank you, Sharon

Hi Earl

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Hi Earl,

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help section,or head over to the G2G forum, you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)

If you have questions while getting started, someone may be able to point you in the right direction in our G2G forum or you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created. If you would like to contribute your family's tree and you agree with our Honor Code, volunteer here on your profile and we would be glad to add you to our WikiTree community.
