I added the book Listen to the Mockingbird as a source for Nancy Hoge Wilson.

Polhemus-120 and Wyckoff-401 do not represent the same person because: Different names, and Polhemus-120 was born in the 1700s, Wyckoff-401 is an active user.

I think that last message from you was a roll-call of every single one of my direct ancestors:

Lott, Suydam, Remsen, Damen, Verkerk, Bergen, Duryea.

I am directly descended from or closely related to each one of those men. But I'm so busy with the overall New Netherland project tasks that I have no time for my own ancestry. :(

Ooh, excitihng, you are getting into my main lines now.

You have Elizabeth Polhemus' sister Martha (wife of Abr. Stryker),

Stryker is one of my main lines, and I have a lot of material on that Abraham and family. He was Abraham III. But I think my connection is a few generations lower. Abraham's second wife was Elizabeth Stout, which is yet another well-established line from a famous couple of ancestors in Gravesend, Long Island.

I had no parents for Martha Polhemus in my desktop database, so this fills a bit hole for me.

I am stuck for time, but I think I might get deeply into some of this tomorrow if I can.

Hi Susan, the best I could do was to find Elizabeth Polhemus' great-grandfather, Daniel Polhemius.

His son Hendrick seems to be missing. as well as Elizabeth's father. But the family names you listed are well-established in the New Netherland descendants, so we should be able to connect the lines without too much new profile creation.

I left a link to that Daniel on Elizabeth's profile, for easy later reference.

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!

Hi!

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, our G2G Forum and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have any questions I can help with?

Welcome to the DNA Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:DNA

To make DNA connections with your cousins, WikiTree needs to see your FamilyTree. You should use the pale yellow Privacy setting on any profiles in your DNA family line so that WikiTree can see the Family Tree tab. (Please set all living children to the Unlisted privacy level.)

As you add your family lines and connect to the big WikiTree, you may find you are related to people you never expected. Use the Relationship calculator to see if you are related to me, Cooper-1 with http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Relationship

Please let me know if you need any assistance.

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. You are now a member of the WikiTree community.

Please note we are trying to build one collaborative tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help section or head over to the G2G forum. You might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
