DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Adam by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Adam:

My daughter is a direct descendant of Nicholas Yeagar, the story has fascinated me since I first read it. I was able to speak with an author who wrote about these particular immigrants. The second ship was going to Pennsylvania and their passage had already been paid by their families already in America. The ship's captain was either in legal or financial trouble and intentionally went to Virginia. The Governor agreed to pay their passage and allow them off the ship, but they were indentured to him for several years. The theory (not sure if it was proven or not) is the captain and the Governor had made this plan in advance knowing a 2nd ship was coming to America. Nicholas had two daughters die on the ship on the way to America. (I'm sure my version is quite abridged)
