On the 26th day of November 1777, Henry Yarbrough Senr. of Bute County in the province of North Carolina, planter, sold to Henry Yarbrough, Jun., planter, a certain tract of land lying on the East of Burtee Branch containing 457 acres.[1]
Henry Yarbrough, Junr. of the county of Franklin state of North Carolina set his hand and affixed his seal to his Last Will and Testament on the 20th day of August 1793 making bequests to:
wife Elizabeth Yarbrough...during her life or widowhood and after death or marriage named properties lent to my said wife be immediately taken into the care of my Executors and conveyed to the use all of my children until the youngest arrive to the age of 16 years...my sons namely Archibald, Charles, David, Henry, Nancy Murry may have proper education...and said daughter Nancy Murry to read well and write...unto Frances Cook...daughter Martha House...son Thomas Yarbrough...son James Yarbrough...son Archibald Yarbrough...son Charles Yarbrough...son, David Yarbrough...to my son Henry Yarbrough...daughter Nancy Murry Yarbrough...daughters Martha House or Nancy Murry Yarbrough should die before they arrive to the age of 21 years unmarried...my desire...my estate may be equally divided between them my said surviving sons and daughters Martha House and Nancy Murry Yarbrough...my six said sons and two daughters, Martha and Nancy Murry...sons Archibald, Charles, David & Henry ...appoint my two sons Thomas Yarbrough and James Yarbrough and my well beloved brother Charles Yarbrough Executors.[2]
Henry died between the 20th of August 1793 (date will was written.) and June 1794 (date will was recorded.)
