I John Yarbrough of County Wake and State of North Carolina being sick and weak in Body But of sound and perfect mind and memory Thanks be to almighty God for the same and knowing the uncertainty of this Earthly life do make and Declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following To wit. first and Principally I give and Recommend my soul to God who gave it trusting in his Mercies and in the merits of my Dear Redeamer for Remision of all my sins Desiring that my Body to be Dispos'd of in Christian Burial and as to such Temporial Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow on me after all my Just Debts are paid I give & bequeath and Dispose in the following manner (viz) Item I lend to my Beloved wife Verer Yarbrough During her widowhood all my household Inventories and Work of every kind and my will is that after my wife's Deceas or marriage that my Estate be Equally Divided Between my six children (Viz) John Yarbrough Merady Yarbrough Frankey Yarbrough Agga Yarbrough Charles Yarbrough Jeriah Yarbrough

And I do hereby Constitute and ordain my Beloved sons John Yarbrough and Merady Yarbrough Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby Disannul all former wills by me and Declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 14th day of May A.D. 1785. his John X Yarbrough (Seal) Mark Sign'd Seal'd acknowedg'd in presence of us Test Rd.
