Millie Yates is a part of US Black heritage.

Amelia was born in Choctaw County, Alabama May 1860 on Allen Caldwell Yates Plantation, Choctaw County, Alabama. She was on of the Slaves of Allen Caldwell Yates. Her parents were Dicey Yates and Powhattan Yates.[1]

She married Henry Bell on 30 Jan 1879.[2] Their family lived in Bladon Springs, Choctaw, Alabama in United States Census, 1880
