DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joshua by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joshua:
Hello Michael - While I agree that these two bios generally represent the same person, I can offer some data regarding his birth date. I am in possession of the Yeates family bible belonging to my great grandparents Wilson Woodruff and Dulcena Badger Yeates of Putnam County Indiana. Joshua Jr. was Wilson's uncle and a neighbor in Putnam County. One page in that bible is devoted to the birth dates of Joshua Yeates, Sr. and his wife Nancy and their eleven children including Joshua Yeates, Jr. and his brother Elijah who was my GGGF. In that bible Joshua Jr's birth date is July 6, 1772. I don't know where the 1769 date of birth came from but it is unlikely that it is accurate since his sister Nancy, the second daughter of Joshua Sr. and Nancy, was born on March 30, 1769 according to the bible.
Yates-651 and Yates-448 appear to represent the same person because: same spouse, sibilings, kids, parents, dates of death. need to rectify date of birth.
With best regards,
Eugene Yeates Lebanon, NH
