There is a total lack of evidence providing who this man's parents were and where he was born as well as when he was born. The 1715 date is an estimate based on the ages of his children. Since there is no proof of parentage, there is also no proof that he is the third in a line of Johns. This is my direct line. John and Elizabeth are my 6th great-grandparents and I have been researching them since 1999.

Yates-3207 and Yates-942 do not represent the same person because: If there is another John Yates that marries Elizabeth Kilgore then these are two different people. I doubt the birth and death dates of the two John's should be the same. I think they have been confused.

Yates-3207 and Yates-942 appear to represent the same person because: The details on the Find A Grave confirm that this is indeed a duplicate

There is no proof for her maiden name being Kilgore.

Susan, I'll make a note to double-check. It's possible I confused this John Estes Yates birth year of 1777 with John Yates III death year. Also, I've done less research on the Yates than my Mustain line. It seem they may have intermarried like our Mustains and Sheltons. https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=38582436

Here we have John Yates Estes. http://www.yatesvillegen.dreamhosters.com/search.php?myfirstname=yates&mylastname=&mybool=AND

Thanks for drawing my attention to this possible error. In the meantime, I'll post this note on John Yates profile also. Regards, Rebecca

What is the documentation for his middle name?

Yates-3294 and Yates-942 appear to represent the same person because: Hello, it seems I've created a duplicate record for John Yates (Yates-3294), when you had Yates-942 set up.

I'm John's 6th great-granddaughter. Can you merge the profiles?

Also, do I need to be on your trusted list to add info and any family connections to him? Or just have the privacy settings oped to allow edits? Thank you.

Yeatts-81 and Yates-942 appear to represent the same person because: Appear to be the same person, because they have the same birth and death date and other vital information look the same.
