Gideon, son of Ezekiel and Lusanna/Susanna (White) Young, was born at Scituate, MA on March 9, 1761 and baptized there on September 12, 1763. He married first Elizabeth, surname, birth and parentage unknown. She was born ca. 1771 and died September 20, 1793. They were married ca. 1790 based on the birth of their only child, Lydia.
He married second Elizabeth Mann, daughter of Jonathan and Mary (Gilbert) Mann of Scituate, on March 29, 1795. She was born ca. 1776, baptized on May 11, 1777, and died on June 24, 1810 at the age of 34.
Gideon died of cancer on March 30, 1847 at the age of 86. He is buried at Union Cemetery at Scituate.
