Birth: Sep., 1858 Death: Nov. 22, 1911. Her obituary (Berwick Register, 30 November 1911) indicates "The other death was that of Hattie, beloved wife of Mr. Isreal Banks. She was stricken with paralysis, on Tuesday, 14th, and lived just eight days. She never spoke a word after the shock. She died on Wednesday, the 22nd. She leaves a husband and one daughter, Mabel, and an adopted son, and an aged mother, Mrs. Caroline Young. Mrs. Banks was a true and consistant member of the Baptist Church and a member of the choir. She had been sick all summer with nervous trouble, but her friends thought she was on the road to recovery, when she was stricken down without a moment's warning. Everything was done for her that a devoted husband and daughter and nurse could so, but she passed away. Her funeral on Friday morning was attended by a very large gathering of relatives and friends. The service was conducted by Revs. Norman A. Whitman, and Harvey L. Eisenhaur."
