On 4 January 1845, the settlement of the estate of Simeon Burleson, father of Reuben's first wife, was accepted by the court in Yancey County, North Carolina. Noted within the estate settlement was that "Reuben Young's wife" had already received an advance from the estate of Simeon Burleson[2].
