At Eketahuna on Wednesday last, Elsie, second daughter of Mr and Mrs C.A. Young, of Eketahuna, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Walter Robert Charles Hornblow, only son of Mrs Campbell, of Masterton. The officiating minister was the Rev. J.W. Parker, and Miss Pike presided at the organ. The church, in spite of the inclement weather, was filled with guests and friends. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked very sweet and graceful in an exquisite bridal dress of white georgette over white crepe de chine, the georgette forming shoulder drapings, and being softly caught above the waist at the back with a rosette, making a butterfly effect, and on the skirt forming double flounces which were edged with bead trimming. The bridal veil was fastened coronet-wise with a wreath of orange blossoms and a bouquet of white lilac and Lily of the Valley was carried, and the bridegroom's gift a gold brooch set with pearls was also worn. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Belle Young, as chief bridesmaid, who was very smartly gowned in cream georgette over cream crepe de chine. The georgette formed a fichu with kilted edging on the blouse, and on the skirt double frills. She wore with this, a black picture hat, trimmed with pink and with large pink roses, placed flat against the brim. A bouquet of lavender and pink lilac and Lily of the Valley, completed a very charming toilette. Miss Dorothy Brighting, of Wellington, a cousin of the bridegroom, also acted as bridesmaid, and wore a pretty frock of cream silk crepe de chine, hand embroidered, and carried a bouquet of shaded cerise ranunculas, with cerise ribbon streamers. Both bridesmaids wore gold band bracelets, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was supported by his cousin, Mr Alf. Hollings, of Wellington, as best man, and Mr H. Young, the bride's brother, as groomsman. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests, who were present from Hamilton, Napier, Wellington, Foxton, Masterton and Bunnythorpe, repaired to the Hall, where Mr and Mrs Hornblow received the congratulations of their friends.
