Martha Ann Young was born in Mississippi in about 1798 to Jacob John Young and Mary Schneck Young.
She married John Kitterlin in about 1817 and had seven children. [1]

After John died in about 1845 she married John Cockerham Tarver on February 23, 1846. He apparently had four children from a previous marriage.[2][3][4]
