Biography

Thomas was born in 1827.

Thomas Married Sarah Billings about 1848. They had eight known children.

Thomas served in Moreland's Ala. Cav., Co. G

Moreland's Cavalry Battalion was organized in August, 1863, at Russellville, Alabama, with men raised in Frankiln County. Assigned to General Roddey's Brigade, the four-company battalion skirmished in North Alabama and Tennessee during the winter and spring of 1864-1864. Later it moved to Mississippi and took an active part in the fight at Tishomingo Creek. On May 18, 1865, it surrended at Iuka.^[1]

Thomas passed away in 1907.^[2]
