Archibald Young was a Virginia colonist.

Archibald Young was born on Aug 8, 1769 in Brunswick County, Virginia. He was listed in the 1800 Census twice, one for Iredell County and once for the new town of States Ville (later became Statesville), Iredell County, North Carolina. He died on Jul 23, 1841 in Laurens County, South Carolina.[1]

Archibald Young was the first postmaster in States Ville (later became Statesville), Iredell County, North Carolina. He was the postmaster of the Iredell Court House post office that started on Jul 1, 1794.[2]
