Biography
John was born in 1800. He was the son of Robert Young and Jean Donaldson. [1]
He married Anne Elizabeth Duncan in 1823.[2]
In 1841 at the age of 40, John was living at Huntlaw Colliery, Pencaitland with his wife and eight children. He was a coal miner. [3]
By 1851 John was living at New Town, Pencaitland with his wife and seven of their children. He was a coal miner.[4]
John was living on the High Street, Ormiston, East Lothian with his wife and five of their children in 1861. He was a coal miner. [5]
In 1871 John was living at Woodhall Cottage, Pencaitland with his wife and two children. He was a labourer. [6]
He passed away in 1879.[7]
