In the 1920 census William J (age 47), Policeman, was the married head of household in Jersey City Ward 8, Hudson, New Jersey.^[2]The household included William J Sefton 47, and wife Emma S Sefton 42.

Emma was mentioned on a memorial in Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin with a death date of March 11, 1958.^[3]

Mrs. Emma Sefton

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Sefton, 75, of 1101 Clara Ave., who died Tuesday at her home, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels.

The Rev. C. H. Turner, pastor of Seventh Day Adventist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels this evening and until the time of service Thursday.

Members of the Eastern Star, to which Mrs. Sefton belonged, will conduct the memorial services at the funeral chapels at 7 this evening.

The former Emma Young, she was born in Jersey City, N.J., Dec 18, 1882.

Her husband, William, died there in 1931. Shortly after that she came to live in Sheboygan.

Only survivors are a brother-in-law, Charles Tesmer, Marshfield, who formerly lived here, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Young, Jersey City.
