Nathaniel Young was born 23 may 1734 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts to William Young and his wife Hannah Healy. Nathaniel Young's father died when he was 16 and so Nathaniel picked a guardian in 1750 named Eliphalet Pond and because his guardian lived in Dedham he moved there. 4 Jul 1754 Nathaniel married Susan Lemoyne daughter of Francis Lemoyne and his wife Ann.
In 1768 Nathaniel is on the Maine Early Census Index page 433 in Cumberland County.
A Petition was made by the settlers of New Boston (later Gray) Maine August 1777 to be incorporated town so it would be easier to get a minister. Nathl Young signed the petition (source" Maine Historical and Genealogical Recorder pg 185).\
Winter of 1777-1778 Nathaniel Young is listed on Coloniel Timothy Bigelow's Regiment with Captain Paul Ellis Company being at Valley Forge and Nathaniel came from the town of New Boston
1790 Census Gray, Cumberland, Maine Nathaniel Young 1 male over 21 and one female and Abraham his son right after him says one male over 21 and 2 males under 21 and 2 females. [1]
1800 Census Gray, Cumberland, Maine Nathl Young 1 male over 45 and 1 female over 45 [2]
1810 listed with his son Abraham in Gray Maine. [3]
1813 he is listed as a Tything Man, Hog Reeve and Pound Keeper for Gray, Maine.
11 Mar 1814 in Gray, Cumberland, Maine, United States the court addressed the cost of taking care of old Nathaniel young who would be 80 years old in 1814.

Burial: This source IS NOT NATHANIEL YOUNG burial he died in Gray and most likely buried there this is a totally different Nathaniel Young which has been mixed with this Nathaniel.
Place: West Stockbridge, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, USA[20][21]
DEATH-based on that he is still in pension rolls 2-vol Revolutoinary War Pensioners in 1818 in Gray, Maine so died after this not before but he is not on 1820 census
