George Young was born and christened on September 26, 1764 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He married Catherine Shimer on February 18, 1784 at St. Michael's and Zion Church, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He died before August 28, 1826 in August County, Virginia.
