Sarah Ann Young was born in 1808 in Castle Combe, Wiltshire, England, daughter of William Young (1776– ).[1]
Sarah (16) married John Hinton (21) (born on April 8, 1804 in Castle Combe, United Kingdom; son of John Hinton and Elizabeth (Neale) Hinton) on April 25, 1825 in Castle Combe. Their children were:
- Frederic Hinton (1826– )
- Henry Hinton (1828–1891)
- Eliza Young Hinton (1831–1885)
- Isabella Young Hinton (~1832–~1885)
- Jasper Hinton (1834–~1915)
