Biography

Bethia Young was born August 26, 1746, the daughter of Nathan Young and Mary Atwood of Chatham, Mass^[1]

Her husband was Ebenezer Rider^[1]. She was referred to as Bethia Rider in her father's estate, administered in 1765, so they were married some time before that date.

They had 7 children, born in South East NY and Long Island^[1]. The move to Long Island may have been prompted by the Revolution, and she and Ebenezer came to Maugerville, New Brunswick in 1784 along with the Loyalists.

Bethia died July 6, 1784 in Maugerville^[1]
