DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Young-19517 and Young-18292 appear to represent the same person because: Both are the father of John Young. Details are sparse, but there is no disagreement.

Hello. I don’t believe this information is accurate: John Young Sr (b. 10 Sept 1733) was the son of Samuel and Judith Young, not John Young and Christian Bruce. The source citation shows this also. Cheers!
