Biography

Thomas was age 12 in 1870 census and age 22 in 1880 census. ^[1]

He married Mary K Norton on Aug. 25, 1886.

Obituary

Thomas Gould Youngs died at his home, 1126 Hilyard street, Sunday afternoon. He was born at Stillman Valley, Mich., March 9, 1858, and married Mary K. Norton at Hudson, Mich., Aug. 25, 1886. He moved to Yakima Valley, Wash., in 1901, then lived at Calgary Alberta, Canada, from 1916 until 1921. In 1922 he came to Eugene where he had resided ever since.

He is survived by his widow, Mary Norton Youngs; two daughters, Mrs. Lavisa Y. Ayres of Eugene and Mrs. M. A. Stevens of Berkeley, Calif., six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bertha E. Smith of Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of the Methodist church in Eugene.

The funeral service will be held from his home, 1126 Hilyard, Tuesday at 3 p. m. Dr. B. Earle Parker will officiate, assisted by Rev. E. Bartlam, Phil Bartholimew chapel In charge and cremation will follow at the Salem crematorium. ^[2]
