Biography

"Sgt. Thomas Young Royal Irish Rifles Labour Corps 705, 613 443 After the war when the 'B' Specials were formed he finally rose to the position of Sub District Commander, having been Head Constable in College Square North, he was responsible for Cullingtree Road and Roden Street Barracks. he died in 1940 the result of Chest Damage received from serving in the Trenches

He worked I think in the Shipyard, I do know that an attempt was made on his life, as he was warned to avoid Howard Street on his way home to Palmerston Street"

Wooden construction in original condition maker marked T. Young 10 Palmerston street Belfast and dated 1919 this drum is in as found condition hoops skins ropes and body are good but dirty Height 27cm width 39cm.[2]
