Biography

Catherine Young was born on July 16, 1811 in Minden, Montgomery County, NY. Her parents were John Young and Margaret Countryman. She immigrated to Upper Canada with her family in 1813.

She married Christopher Young in about 1829 in Barton. Christopher was her second cousin, once removed. He had come to Barton to wpork on her father's farm.
Together they had 6 children:

2. Hannah Amanda Young
3. Anna Margaret Young
4. Peter Macnab Young
5. Mariah Martha Young
6. Mary Cztherine Young

Catherine Young died from complications arising from the birth of Mary Catherine Young.

She died on May 04, 1842 shortly after giving birth to her sixth child, Mary Catherine.
