Source: Metryki.GenBaza.pl Pultusk, Wasewo parish Wasewo and Ostrow were under Russian rule till first WW so from about 1865 the acts are in Russian but usually the names of people in Polish in brackets). Found online in archives: In 1893 and 1894 there are no Zapisek in birth section but in 1892 I have found Jan ZAPISEK the son of Stanislaw ZAPISEK and Karolina KRYSZMAN under No 177. The loose translation : It happened in the village Wasewo on the 1st / 13th of November 1892 at 2pm. Stood in front of us Stanislaw ZAPISEK smith 36 years old living in Wasewo in presence of Jozef GRUSZKA 60 years old and Jan KACZMARCZYK 33 years old and showed us a baby boy who was born in the village Wasewo on 22nd October / 3rd November this year at 9am by his wife Karolina KRYSZMAN 30 years old. The boy was christened by the priest Hieronim Zebrowski of Wasewo Parish today and was given a name Jan (John).

Will of JOHN ZAPISEK: I, John Zapisek, of the city of Cleveland, ounty of Cuyahoga and state of Ohio, being of full age and sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and annulling any and all Will or Wills by me heretofore made. Item I, I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as practicable after my decease. Item II, All and singular, the rest, residue and remainder of my estate and property of whatsoever kind and description and wheresoever situated of which I may die seize or possessed or to which I may be entitled at the time of my death, I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife, Sophie Zapisek, if she shall survive me, absolutely, in fee simple and forever. In the event, however, that my said wife, Sophie Zapisek, shall not survive me, then I give, devise and bequeath my said rest, residue and remainder of my estate and property, equally share and share alike, unto my children, Irene Zapisek, 15, Christine Zapisek, 14 and John Zapisek, Jr., 11, absolutely, in fee simple and forever. Item 3. I nominate and appoint my wife, Sophie Zapisek Executrix of this, my Last Will and Testament and request no bond of her. In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand to this, my Last Will and Testament at Cleveland, Ohio, this 30th day of November in the year of our Lord, 1956. The foregoing instrument was signed by the said, John Zapisek in our presence and by him, published and declared as and for his Last Will and Testament, and at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, we hereunto subscribe our names as attesting witnesses at Cleveland, Ohio this 30th day of November A.D. 1956.
