George was born Zimmerman, but adopted around age 9 by Brady Law and Grace R. (Adams) McFadden from an orphanage thought to be in Cleveland, OH. Orphanage burned with its records.
The US Census of 1920 shows George living in the Rush Creek, Logan, Ohio, United States household of Brady L McFadden (49) including: wife Grace R McFadden (45), adopted son Earl W McFadden (19), son George McFadden (9), and brother Charles McFadden (40). [1]
