John Zimmerman is Notable.
  • German Nonconformist who put together a 6 month boat trip to Pennsylvania from Germany for his followers but died before launching. Johan Kelpius became the leader.[1]
  • Ancestor of noted singer Josh Groban[2][3]
  • 1664 Magister at University of Tübingen
  • Astronomer / astrologer - star charts for he northern hemisphere
  • 1671 Lutheran minister, Bietigheim (Baden)
  • He was a Deacon at Bietigheim when he married Maria Margaretha Schaal.
  • pseudonym Ambrosius Sehmann von Caminiez (an anagram of his real name), Muthmassliche Zeit-Bestimmung - coming of Christ's kingdom on earth in 1693 (a kind of millenarianism and therefore heresy)
  • 1685 removed from ministry
  • 1693 buried in Rotterdam - the same year that he predicted calamity.[4]
    • He died ON THE WAY to Pennsylvania, either in or shortly after leaving ROTTERDAM. His wife completed the journey with their children.[4]

His unorthodoxy caused him to be deposed from the ministry. He was one of the first radical pietists at the beginning of the separatist movement of the Protestant Church. He was the author of at least 18 published works on theology and astronomy.

Saunders-3398 Patricia Diane Saunders (1945-2020)
Zimmerman-2605 and Zimmerman-461 do not represent the same person because: The birth dates are a generation apart. The birth places are on different continents. The death dates are not the same. One J J Zimmerman lived in the U.S.; the other lived in Europe.

I would suggest researching each child and attaching each to the proper father and mother and noting the sources of each such identification. The same name does not mean the same person.
