Biography

Mary Zouche was the daughter of Francis Zouche.^[1]

Mary married George Lewis, widower of Katherine, the daughter of Miles Mathew of Castell y mynach, and the second son of Thomas Lewis of The Van and his first wife, Margaret, the daughter of Robert Gamage of Coity.^[1] The hamlet of Y Fan (Welsh) was in Bedwas parish, Caerphilly hundred, Glamorgan, Wales.^[2] George Lewis of Llystalybont, near Cardiff, Glamorgan, was burgess of Parliament for the Cardiff Boroughs in 1586 and was Sheriff of Glamorgan in 1610-11.^[1]

George and Mary had one daughter.^[1]

After Mary's death, George married a third time to Mary, the daughter of William Gore of Wiltshire.^[1]
